The 9th edition of the International DHC+ Summer School took place in Karlshamn, Sweden from 22-28 August 2021. It attracted 21 students, doctoral students, and young professionals from different European countries to learn the basics and the latest in district heating technology.

Engaging District Heating and Cooling End-Users through Artificial Intelligence

The 9th edition focused on this topic and included lectures, interactive discussions, hands-on workshops and virtual technical visits.

The programme included District Cooling, development of a DHC strategy and network design, sector integration, customer communication and two study visits. Due to Covid-19, the participants could not visit companies. However, virtual study visits took participants to companies within smart and sustainable district heating in Karlshamn. Hands-on workshops focused on Artificial Intelligence and specific DH solutions that use AI to control and monitor centrally heated buildings.
