Introduction to technologies and strategies for designing, installing, operating and maintaining sustainable, affordable and reliable heat network solutions of different types and size

You are welcome to a new event highlighting the opportunities in the Scottish market for decarbonising heating. You will also get an up-date on the Heat Network Skills initiative funded by the Scottish Government and managed by Energy Saving Trust. The initiative is applying the Heat Academy approach and is based upon a collaborative model involving local colleges and universities, energy operators, public institutions and the supply chain.

 

This session will in particular highlight technologies and solutions related to storage and distribution of heat, involving speakers representing a range of companies – Polypipe/ Terrendis, Rehau, Powerpipe, Midroc and Comsof. You will also meet Dave Pearson, Star Renewable Energy, sharing his observations of heat networks from a heat pump perspective. Dr Roddy Yarr, Strathclyde University will share experiences made from implementing a heat network at the campus. Other speakers include Pilar Rodriguez, Energy Saving Trust and Paul Steen, Vattenfall.
