We are delighted to welcome Asper, an independent investment management firm specialised in sustainable infrastructure, as a new member of Euroheat & Power!

Asper have over €1.4bn of commitments currently under management with funds raised from over 35 institutional investors. Their funds have invested in more than 100 EU renewable energy projects – including district heating, wind, solar and hydro – representing over 1GW of projects with a combined debt and equity value in excess of €2.5 billion. Asper was one of Europe’s first energy infrastructure investment managers to invest in district heating. They began working on this sector in 2013, made their first investments in 2014 and have continued to invest in the DHC sector every year since.

Asper built their first district heating platform in Sweden, where through a series of acquisitions and development of new networks they built one of the most successful pure-play district heating businesses in the country, Vasa Värme. In 2020, they launched EVE: a second platform dedicated to greenfield development of municipal networks in the Netherlands. They are a partner in the EU Interreg D2Grids project which aims to develop 5th generation urban heating and cooling networks (5G DHC) in Europe.
