The DHC+ Technology Platform and the organising committee of the DHC+ Student Awards would like to thank  everyone who participated in this year’s DHC+ Student Award!

The assessment of the papers of the 6th DHC+ Student Award has now been finalised and we are happy to announce the winners:

1st place winner: Ilias Dimoulkas (KTH Royal Institute of Technology, SE)

with his paper: Medium and long term probabilistic heat demand forecasting in district heating systems using temperature scenarios

2nd place winner: Nicolas Perez de la Mora (University of Balearic Islands/Sampol Ingeniería y Obras, ES)

with his paper: DHC supply and generation optimization towards 4th generation

3rd place winner: Martin Leurent (Université Paris-Saclay/Laboratoire Génie Industriel, CentraleSupelec, FR)

with his paper: GIS based analysis of the DH potential in France

 

 

The panel of evaluators, which consists of members of the DHC+ Education & Training Working Group, chose the winning papers based on the following criteria:

  1. Overall importance to science and technology (30%)
  2. Methodology and logic of conclusions (20%)
  3. Clarity and preciseness of presentation and topic (10%)
  4. Expected market impact, DHC improvement and progress (30%)
  5. Creativity of approach and subject (10%)

 

The three winners were invited to present their research outcomes at the 2018 Global District Energy Days in Helsinki on 25-27 September 2018, as well as to publish their articles in the International EuroHeat&Power Magazine (issue IV/2018).
