The Universtity of Hull will be the frame for three different EU-China energy events between the 29th of July and 1st of August. These three events will be combined and jointly organised by around 30 organisations from EU and China and sponsored by the European Commission, British Council, UK EPSRC, Innovate-UK, Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MOST).
The three events include:
- The 1st EU-China Symposium on Sustainable Energy Technologies
- The 2nd âBelt and Road Initiativeâ International Symposium on Sustainable Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- The 2nd UKChina workshop for Renewable Energy and Phase Change Energy Storage Technologies in Buildings
The events will address the scientific advances and trends of development in renewable energy, energy efficiency, phase change material, sustainable refrigeration and air conditioning technologies, as well as potential applications of these technologies in data centres and other buildings.
The programme includes as well visits to the Energy Technology laboratory at University of Hull. This will allow the participants to approach the University’s latest dew point cooling and building integrated solar heat and power systems, which are reckoned to have achieved the world class standards.

Call for papers
The call for papers related to renewable & sustainable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage, sustainable refrigeration & air-conditioning, and data centre energy savings are now open for submission to the symposiums. High standard papers will be selected, reviewed and published in the special issues of ‘ENERGY’ journal and ‘ENERGIES’ journal both of which are top standard journals in Energy Sector.
