Research Projects
Driving the energy transition
DHC+ Technology Platform is directly involved or actively supporting a variety of EU research projects on renewable heating and cooling, digitalisation, low temperature thermal networks, consumer engagement, smart cities, integrated energy systems, and much more. Since 2005, these projects have continuously produced evidence to support district heating and cooling market development in Europe as well as national and European heating and cooling policies.
Some remarkable facts:
- Between 2016 and 2018 around 23 projects involving DHC were funded for a total amount of 90 mln €
- Only in 2019, 8 new projects in DHC sector kicked off accounting for almost 40 million € of EU grants
- 90% of these projects involve at least one DHC+ member
The Platform has experience in different roles, including those of coordinator, lead partner on communication and dissemination, task leader on EU-wide replication, and as a member of the advisory board. More information about the projects DHC+ is/was involved in is available on Our Projects page.
