Decarbonizing Heating in Chile – Implementing Heat Networks
Local Capacity Building – Module 1
Decarbonising heating is a top priority to reduce CO2 emissions by 50% by 2030 and to hit net-zero emissions by 2050. Heat Networks combined with measures to enhance building efficiency are critical components in making this possible. Investments in solutions to decarbonise heating will also improve air quality and generate inward investments, jobs and improved social welfare. But what exactly are the technologies and skills required to take projects from vision to operation, and how can training institutions and the local supply chain gear up to meet these needs?
You are invited to the first session in a series of four training modules introducing heat networks as an effective solution for decarbonising heating. The course will highlight initiatives currently underway in the region, as well as the expected benefits. We will also present the technologies involved and the skills required to take a project from vision and design, and into delivery and operations.
The overall objective is build awareness of the opportunities and to start mobilising key stakeholders to the critical task of building local supply chain capacity in this rapidly emerging industry sector.
