2016EHPDEdays_TwitterOn 11 and 12 October 2016, Euroheat & Power organises in Brussels the “District Energy Days”.  The two-day event features top-level EU officials – including a keynote address from Dominique Ristori from the European Commission – as well as city and industry leaders from across Europe.

The event aims to provide a high-level forum for policy-makers, industry and civil society to exchange views on how thermal networks can help deliver a smoother energy transition at European, national and local level.

The high-level policy conference on 11 October will look first at the impact of recent and upcoming EU energy policy developments on the heating and cooling sector. The focus will then move towards the role of district energy in delivering sustainable cities, highlighting the perspectives of local political leaders, urban planning specialists and other experts.

The policy conference will be followed the next day by two additional and related events. First, the second edition of the DHC+ Brokerage event which offers a great opportunity to find partners for cooperation in the rapidly increasing field of EU-funded projects in the heating and cooling sector.

Second, the final conference of the STRATEGO project looking at low carbon heating and cooling strategies for 5 target countries: Czech Republic, Croatia, Italy, Romania and the United Kingdom. The session will highlight project results, particular business models and engage in cross-border collaboration on multi-level actions for enhanced heating and cooling plans.
