DALKIAFollowing a tender process and the resulting contract signed with the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, Dalkia and its partner EDF Energy will design, build and operate a new Energy Centre and associated heat and cooling network as part of the trust’s redevelopment of Chase Farm Hospital in north London. This successful tender provides fresh impetus to Dalkia’s pursuit of international growth, squarely in line with the goals of the EDF Group.

Dalkia and EDF Energy are joining forces to design, build and operate a new Energy Centre and associated heat and cooling network to service the new Chase Farm Hospital, which is currently being redeveloped by the Royal Free London.

The new hospital will include facilities for elective (non-emergency) care, diagnostics, out-patients, an urgent care centre, planned elective surgery and post-operative care, women’s services, an older person’s assessment unit and rehabilitation facilities. The new hospital will open in 2018.

This is the first joint project between Dalkia and EDF Energy, which is part of the EDF Group and the UK’s largest low carbon electricity generator. The teams at Dalkia, working in partnership with the Energy Services teams in the EDF Energy Customers Division, will build and manage the new facilities providing the hospital with all its needs for electricity, heating and cooling for the next 15 years.

“This project is a perfect illustration of how EDF Energy and Dalkia create powerful synergies that harness their respective market knowledge and expertise in energy services. It’s a resounding success that demonstrates our expertise across the board and our ability to create value for the most demanding clients. Dalkia continues to achieve international growth by leveraging its industry expertise and the local experience of EDF Group business units across the world.” JĂ©rĂ´me Ladrière, International Director – Dalkia
