Danfoss expands Partnership with Leanheat

Danfoss strengthens cooperation with Leanheat. At the same time, Danfoss acquires additional shares in Leanheat. For Leanheat, closer collaboration brings more opportunities in international markets. Danfoss strengthens its global position within building energy optimization and management.

In 2016 Danfoss initially acquired a 23 per cent stake in Leanheat. Now its shareholding will double to 46 per cent.

There is a clear need for IoT solutions saving energy with buildings. According to the European Commission, buildings consume 40 per cent of energy in the EU. That needs to be included as part of mitigating the impact of climate change. With the EU revising its legislation to accelerate building renovation and force energy system performance up, new solutions based on artificial intelligence can help building owners achieve the much-needed energy savings in buildings.
