Slingshot your company to overseas success

What’s this all about?

Energy Systems Catapult (ESC) is working with Delta-ee to develop a database of innovative UK companies, with overseas export potential, that are active in the smart power and district heating sectors.

The purpose of the database is to promote UK expertise in overseas markets that will be of benefit to the UK economy. It will be used by the Department for International Trade (DIT) and the Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO), among others, to identify UK companies who are best suited to meet and deliver on any overseas opportunities they come across.

The process

To identify these companies, Delta-ee is contacting associations, organisations and industry groups within the energy sector to collate the relevant details for each company via an online survey. This will be used to populate the database.

Once the database is complete, ESC will own and maintain the database. The figure below illustrates the overall project process.

What will it cost?

There are no costs associated with being included in the database.

Does my company qualify?

To qualify, your company must:

• have a UK registered office
• be developing or selling innovative products and services in the district heating & cooling or smart power space (including energy storage).

Inclusion in the database is open to any type or size of company. You could already be exporting or only selling in the UK with little or no plans to export product or services.

There is also potential to be included even if you do not have a market-ready product or service but are in the latter stages of development.

How to apply

Delta-ee will be contacting companies directly as well as through various associations, organisations and industry groups throughout Q1 2018. You will be required to complete a short online survey, providing details of your company and supporting information that may support users of the database to best match opportunities to the relevant company.
