Unique Chinese-Danish Solar Heating Partnership Formed

A new joint venture, which aims to offer the best large-scale solar heating solutions available for the Chinese market, was established on Tuesday, 31st of May in Beijing. Chinese market leader Jiangsu Sunrain and Danish large-scale solar heating specialist Arcon-Sunmark are behind the new establishment. China is the world’s largest solar heating market and is expected to show significant growth rates within large-scale solutions in the coming years.

On Tuesday, 31st of May, a Chinese-Danish joint venture to supply large-scale solar heating solutions was formed, following an agreement was signed between Jiangsu Sunrain and Arcon- Sunmark, industry leaders in China and Denmark respectively. The joint venture, Arcon-Sunmark Large-Scale Solar Systems Integration Co., Ltd., will handle sale, installation and operation of Arcon-Sunmark solar heating solutions in China.

Chinese Sunrain, a market leader of residential and small solutions in China, has full knowledge about the market but lacks solutions for large-scale installations, while Arcon-Sunmark, the Danish company behind the world’s largest installations for district heating and industrial process heat, is dedicated to large-scale solar heating solutions and holding the world’s most advanced and comprehensive solutions tailor made for large-scale installations.

By joining hands, the two companies seek to supply the Chinese market with the best solar heating solutions available.

The joint venture will be active in China, which is the world’s largest solar heating market and accounts for no less than 70% of the global market. The Chinese market, currently concentrated on smaller solutions, is expected to see significant growth in large-scale solar heating solutions in the coming years, as the interest in solar energy for district heating and industrial purposes is increasing.
