EU District Energy Project Signs Up 50th City

DecentralizedEnergy logoEuropean district heating and cooling project Celsius has reached its goal of recruiting 50 new cities a year ahead of schedule.

 

The networking and knowledge-sharing programme, part of the EU’s Smart Cities & Communities initiative, began in 2013 and will run until 2017. It is led by the city of Gothenburg with partner cities London, Rotterdam, Cologne and Genoa and aims to help member cities share district heating experience and resources.
